Immigrant Family Services

Our Immigrant Family Services (IFS) team welcomes immigrants into the community and connects them to necessary information and services for a full and vibrant life. By providing language access as well as connecting individuals and families to internal and external resources, IFS reduces barriers and promotes health, well-being, and self-sufficiency for clients.

Immigration Legal Services

Our Immigration Legal Services & Assistance (ILSA) team provides legal assistance on family-based immigration matters and humanitarian immigration relief. We are accredited to provide legal advice on immigration issues and prepare immigration forms. Additional programs include a Pathway to Citizenship and FREE legal advice clinics on non-immigration matters.

Community Navigators

We train local immigrants as community educators and trusted connectors. Our Community Navigators currently come from the local Latine, Korean, Chinese, and Congolese, and indigenous Maya communities. Each Navigator is equipped to provide community-centered outreach, education, document preparation, and navigation assistance.

Welcoming Week

Welcoming Week celebrates the growing movement of inclusive communities that fully embrace immigrants and their contributions to the social fabric of our country. With over 25,000 foreign-born individuals living in Champaign County, we all need different opportunities to engage, build mutual understanding and raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming all! This year's community-wide celebration will take place Friday, September 8 to Sunday, September 17 and feature over 20 fun, family-centered events.
